Cooking shirtless wasn't something Priestly did a whole lot -- anyone who'd ever been spot burned on the pectoral by drops of flying hot oil would understand why -- but the occasion seemed to call for it, this time.

Also, somehow despite the adventures of yesterday, he was still feeling pretty hot and twitchy, so shirtless was definitely the way to go.

"So," he said, flipping a pancake with an expert flick of the skillet -- yes, he was TOTALLY showing off, why do you ask? "How do you like your eggs?"

[ooc: For the lovely lady promised breakfast, and potentially the roommate should he wander in.]

"The other way around being... no kids?" Because April was on board for no kids. Seriously, she was so on board.

"Huh." Well. "Think I like 'grumpy' better than 'kids'. 'Old' sucks, though."'

April's only suggestion -- which was going to remain unvoiced, for reasons that should be obvious -- was for Priestly to maybe flip the eggs and hopefully get a cool-looking burn or something on his stomach.

April was a really strange person.

"It'll come back," she said instead. She found it hard to believe that one round of sex would cure the pollen thing entirely. "If it's still going on in a couple days, call me or whatever."

That surprised April enough to get a half-smile out of her, which really was quite a feat. "Uh, yeah," she replied, clearly pleased. "Sure. That'd be cool."

"Sex and breakfast food," April mused. "You might be the coolest dude I've ever met."

She wondered if she could get away with stealthily taking a picture of him. Mostly to make her gay boyfriends jealous.

And also because, well, he was shirtless, and, this week being what it was, anything helped.

April was just going to go with trying to take it sneakily while his back was turned. It was his ass that Derek and Ben would care about, after all.

But first she had to figure out how to disable her phone's camera shutter sound. She was going to start on that now.

April snorted, absently swiping at her phone's touchscreen. "We can add 'creative' to the compliments," she said, because 'sweet' wasn't something she got called a whole lot, it was true. "And--" oh, there, shutter sound disabled-- "you have a nice ass."

So there was that too.

"Taste buds, too," April pointed out, smirking as she took the picture and sent it off Derek's way. He'd pass it on to Ben, she was sure. "How're those eggs coming?"

"It's up there on the list," April agreed. "Carrot muffins might be number-one, though." April was so weird about her carrot muffins. "And... quesadillas filled with mushrooms."

Okay, April was weird about a lot of foods.

"But then bacon and eggs."

"Uh." Well. "The kind from J,GoB."

That was descriptive.

"Pretty sure they have some kind of nuts in 'em?"

"Thanks." Seriously, this had to be the best morning April had been awake for in... well, ever since she'd graduated high school, April wasn't generally awake in the morning. This beat out every other morning of 2012 and 2013 by default. Now, give her a second to taste it, and then--

"Oh my god."

Oh god, this was the most delicious thing she'd ever put in her mouth.

April did her best to come up with something else intelligent to say, but all she managed was another, more intense, "Oh my god."

Except that would require her to look up from her food, so...

Oh, wait. She was actually doing that. Because right now, April was very intently pondering whether pouncing on Priestly across the table was worth no longer eating these eggs.

You know what, she actually thought it was. So, uh... hi?

And now Priestly would get to experience - possibly not for the first time - what an 'oh my god, you are the world's greatest chef and make magic with food' kiss was like. Mixed with a sex-pollen kiss. It was very intense, was the main takeaway here.

And it was a good thing April's breakfast wardrobe consisted exclusively of yesterday's shirt and underwear, because yeah, she planned on putting both of their imaginings to work right now.
