Priestly was sleeping in, today, thank you very much. Unless his housemate woke him up to demand breakfast, he wasn't planning on being up until well into the afternoon. He'd woken up long enough to note that he wasn't feeling crazy horny for the first time in a week and decided that that deserved a nice, long morning off from doing anything remotely adult-like or responsible.
The plan was doomed, but he didn't know that yet. The couch was comfortable, Dean was running the diner, Momoko was . . . doing whatever she was doing this morning, and all was right with the world.
[ooc: for a particular child, but also open for other visitors, including and especially the one who arrived last night, should she care to ping.]

6/4/13 21:39 (UTC)"Sin?" Momoko recognized her, but the others... And since when did Sin call her mama? She was Dinah's daughter! "Uhm?" This was her confused face. Can everyone see it?
Boaz's face was a mirror of her mother's as she looked at the little boy calling her mom 'mama'. "She's my mom, not yours." She didn't say it unkindly, just... matter of factly. And then reached out to pat the boy's head. He was really cute, and she'd always wanted a little brother.

6/4/13 21:45 (UTC)". . . I'm going to cook more eggs," he decided. "None of you are allergic, right? Any vegans?"

6/4/13 21:47 (UTC)Thanks, Aunt Helena.

6/4/13 22:02 (UTC)"Really?" Priestly said. "Because far as I can tell, you don't respect anything else."
Jane smiled at him. "You're such a natural father."

6/4/13 22:08 (UTC)No, no he wasn't.

6/4/13 23:20 (UTC)Do that math, Priestly.

7/4/13 00:18 (UTC)"Sister is fine, Uncle Priestly. She and Momomama live together ever since they got Lasumi."

7/4/13 00:21 (UTC)"Dad!" Jane threw an eggshell at his head. "Gross!"
(no subject)
7/4/13 00:33 (UTC)Uhm.
"Okay. Well. That, uhm. Means the call to Dinah will be totally easier. And I don't have to go looking for any dads. Speaking of..." She glanced back at Boaz then turned to Priestly. "This is my daughter from a different time than these, since her name is Boaz and she has no uncle Priestly."

7/4/13 00:35 (UTC)"Maybe you let Grandma Naomi name her," Jane suggested. "She looooooves the name Boaz."
(no subject)
7/4/13 00:36 (UTC)"It's okay, Momomama," she said. "I know I must be from a different world, too, so you don't know me."
(no subject)
7/4/13 00:40 (UTC)"And Grandmother-Naomi didn't name me either. Mom did. After her friend who died, so it's the best name ever." She looked over at the strange big-girl with more of a smile. "You know Grandmother-Naomi? She's nice, isn't she!"

7/4/13 00:52 (UTC)"More please? Hooooooongry." Lasumi could care less about drama. Or confusion. "Won tons!"

7/4/13 00:55 (UTC)Jane passed Lasumi the loaf of bread Priestly had gotten out to make toast, curious to see what would happen. "Who gave birth to the vacuum cleaner over here?"
"Hang on," Priestly said, too distracted to notice the gobbling going on. "I think you're confused, kid. 'Grandma Naomi' is my mother. She named me Boaz."
Aww, he'd almost reached the point where he could say that at full volume.

7/4/13 01:16 (UTC)Not that Boaz knew the reason; she just knew the spoiling part.
"Grandmother-Naomi didn't name me! And she's not your mom; she don't have kids anymore!"
"... doesn't..." Momoko interjected, totally out of some weird habit as she stroked Alec's hair and tried to figure this one out.
"Doesn't." SIGH MOM! English had stupid rules sometimes.

7/4/13 01:42 (UTC)"Boaz!" Momoko's voice was stern. "/Don't be rude./"
"/Sorry mom./" Boaz sighed heavily and tugged on her hair. "Mom says she found me after a portal brought me to Fandom Island when I was really little. She said she adopted me because I didn't go back and I called her mama. She named me after her friend, because they were going to get married but they couldn't and he died before she found me. Mom doesn't talk about him because it makes her sad just like Fandom Island."

7/4/13 01:45 (UTC)"She ever say why it made her sad?"
