The kitchen staff was arguing over who got to move into the freezer while they waited for the heatwave to end. The cook's main argument was that he was the most important member of the staff, bar Priestly, and thus by right of seniority, the freezer should be his. The dishwasher noted that the cook, used to standing over a hot stove all day, was used to heat and should be bothered by it all. The busboy's point that the dishwasher got to spend all day playing with water so he should get it didn't go over well with anyone at all.

Priestly's point that a) the freezer was more than large enough to house all of them and the army of penguins that may or may not have already taken up residence in the back with more than enough room to spare, and b) no one was allowed to move into his freezer, are you kidding? now get back to work ended the argument pretty succinctly, he thought.

Of course, then they just started bickering over the walk-in cooler instead.

April strode in and pointed toward the sign. "What flavor fro-yo?"

She was actually wearing shorts, which was a pretty rare occurrence for her. It was disgusting out and she wanted fro-yo on her head.

"Vanilla's good," she decided after a moment's pause. "Bet lemon would be good too, but I don't wanna wait."

"You're my favorite person today," April informed Priestly solemnly. "Congratulations."

April glanced down at herself, checking for anything she might want to take off before getting ice cream dumped on her head. Apart from her phone, which she unceremoniously dropped to the floor and prodded to the side with her foot, she thought she was about ready.

She shut her eyes and stuffed her hands in her pockets. "Yeah, hit me."

What about a scruffy Jensen Ackles who could cook? Those were pretty awesome too.

"Dude, do it," April said emphatically -- slightly muffled, because, you know, there was ice cream falling on her face. "I'd be in here in a bathing suit, like, every day."

"You could make it a competitive eating thing for people, too," she added, tilting her head back as the last few drops started to drip from the bucket. "Like, swallow it all from the faucet without any spilling on the floor and you win a free meal."

Dirty, obviously.

"You were pretty popular last time around, too," April pointed out.

She flicked some fro-yo off her arm in Priestly's direction.

"Man," she said, looking down at her vanilla-drenched clothes. "Best shower ever."

April smirked. "No, it's cold, dumbass."

That was an affectionate 'dumbass,' for the record. The smirk probably made it pretty apparent.

Also, the fact that she flicked some more at him. Look, this was a thing now. Apparently no one cared about the mess, so.

Well, he was an NPC, so his feelings didn't matter.

April opened her mouth to try to catch the fro-yo, but missed by a lot, and the yogurt landed in her hair. Eh, whatever. There was plenty of frozen yogurt there already.

"You know," April said thoughtfully as she ran her hands down her sides to collect some of the surplus yogurt, "if this is actually gonna be a battle, I'm way more, like, armed."

Since she was covered with it and all.

"Wait, but then if I lick my arm, it'll be all vanilla-Coke-flavored," April objected.

Because she'd been planning on licking her arm, apparently. Well then.
